Tabbit for Google Chrome™

Open a tab, land somewhere nice.

Tabbit replaces the empty new tab page with scenes that change with the day, weather at a glance, and quiet tools for everything else.

A Tabbit new tab page: layered, prismatic mountain horizons at sunset.

A new tab, minus the noise.

The most-opened page in your day, worth opening.

You land on the new tab page dozens of times a day. Tabbit makes it a small, calm moment instead of a blank slate: no feeds, no widgets clamoring for a click, just a scene, the time, and the weather.

Pick a scene that fits your mood.

Switch scenes any time from Tabbit’s settings. Every scene renders on your device. Nothing streams a live feed at you.

    Living deep sea

A slow-drifting reef of fish, jellyfish, and passing schools, lit like the bottom of a calm sea.

    Hyperspace journey

Generated star systems drift by, with the occasional jump to hyperspace and somewhere new.

A private transit map drawn from the sites you visit, built entirely on your device.

  • The Bouncing logo new tab scene in Tabbit

    Bouncing logo

The classic screensaver, reborn. A logo forever chasing the corner of your screen.

  • The Maze flythrough new tab scene in Tabbit

    Maze flythrough

A first-person drift through an endless 3D brick maze, in the spirit of the ones you grew up with.

Your browsing day, as a quiet map.

The generative map style turns your current session into a private transit diagram: frequent sites become stations, pinned tabs become landmarks, and the routes you hop between draw the lines.

  • Drawn entirely on your device, so the map never leaves your machine
  • Keeps only bare hostnames, never full addresses or page contents
  • Off until you choose it, with a clear permission prompt first

Time and weather, already there.

A clean clock and the current conditions greet you on every tab. Set your city once, choose Fahrenheit or Celsius, and place the clock where you like it.

  • Search any city, and Tabbit finds the coordinates for you
  • Live conditions refreshed in the background
  • Position the clock and date to suit your scene

Plain about privacy.

Tabbit has no account and does not collect your name or email. Curated photos load through Zektek’s image proxy, weather comes from Open-Meteo, and the generative map is built entirely on your device. Anonymous usage analytics is limited and can be turned off anytime.
