Questions about Shelved
- Does Shelved read my browsing history?
- Only if you allow it. Granting the optional history permission lets Shelved check bookmarks you already had, and it only looks up visits to URLs that are in your bookmarks. It never scans your general browsing history. Without that permission, bookmarks you save after installing are still tracked.
- Will Shelved remind me about sites I use every day?
- No. Shelved avoids treating common app shortcuts and homepages as forgotten reading, and you can override tracking for individual bookmarks.
- Does Shelved sync between my devices?
- Your Chrome bookmarks keep syncing normally, but Shelved's own tracking data, snoozes, preferences, and backups stay on the device where you use it.
- Does Shelved collect my bookmarks?
- No. Tracking data stays in Chrome storage on your device. Optional anonymous feature usage analytics never include bookmark titles, URLs, or page content.
